Glasses used to mean nerds, infirmities and even ugliness. But today, people wear them not because they all have myopia but instead, for trend of fashion.
Glasses need maintaining, not only because they are not cheap enough for you to throw away carelessly, but also for your own good—-a distorted pair of glasses surely gives your eyes a hard time.
First, make sure the screws on your glasses are always properly tightened. A loose screw might cause you big trouble. The lens may fall off because of a snapped screw while you are driving, and you can’t let that happen.
Second, the frame of the glasses should be kept clean and don’t forget to mop off the sweat or make up that stick to the surface of the frame with tissues, or it won’t take long for your black steel awesome glasses turns into a petty grey. Taking a sun bath makes people happy, but don’t forget to take off your glasses when you enjoy the sunshine, or your cool black glasses frame may be worn off by the heat and the sunray and also turns an unwanted pale.
Third, some of you may not know how to keep your glasses while you are not wearing them. Do you put them on the table with both legs stretched like it’s just been transferred form your face to an air face on the table like Harry Potter? Well you don’t have the magical spell to fix your glasses if anything happens to them, do you? Or do you put your glasses upside down with the lens touching the table? That way your glasses will definitely be scratched and ruined. I believe most of us know the right way to keep a pair of glasses in good rest by folding the two legs of the glasses when we put them down, but it also raises a question: left leg first or right first? Yes there is a difference. If you fold the wrong leg first, the balance of the glasses frame would be broken and it makes it uncomfortable to wear them. So remember, next time when you put down your glasses, make sure you fold the left leg first. And if your glasses are not necessary for a long while, remember to wrap them in glasses cloth and put them into the case.
And finally, if you take off your glasses by yanking it off your face with one hand, then you’ll probably twist the frame and make your glasses uncomfortable next time you put them back on again. If this happens, do not attempt to fix the problem yourself. You have to admit there’s just something you can’t do, even if you are a rocket scientist with 3 PhDs. Take them to the optometrist. He’s better than you at the job.
So with the above tips, I wish you a happy relationship with your glasses.
