To some extent, that why women love jewelry is a stupid question, which just like asking why humans eat food. It seems that women are doomed to be jewelry lovers when they are born. This must be the simplest answers. However, that is not enough.

As for the reasons why women love jewelry, we have to trace back to old times to find. In very old days in human beings’ history, jewelry served as additive stuff at the very beginning.

Though in ancient times, different countries applied various jewelry materials but the common thing is that they view jewelry as something which symbolizes social status or ranks. Only people in higher social ranks can afford jewelry. The same rule was accepted and widely applied in nowadays. That is a historical reason causing women are fond of jewelry.

As time went by, jewelry is no longer additive accessories but becomes a kind of decorative stuffs that is we often called fashion accessories. From ancient to modern times, the women’ purist of beauty is never changing. When materials used for jewelry varying and augmenting and the wealth growing in many regions, jewelry are widely worn by women in all kinds of occasions. Women love wearing jewelry due to its multi-functions it plays in social lives. Still as before, jewelry is recognized as a rank sign but also it becomes fashion styles by its versatile presenting ways.

Reasons why women love jewelry are not only confined to these two factors. In most women’ eyes, jewelry also serves as a statement to judge their lover’s affections on them. Sometimes, women think that men tend to send them equally valued jewelry to express their love, which also cause women have special craze about jewelry because such jewelry is memorable as well.

Last but not least, women are emotional creatures which make them being born to prefer expressing their feelings. And precious and various designed jewelry are good statements for them to show their emotions.

As we all know, Chinese people always say that  “lady wears Buddha, gentleman wears Guanyin”, here the “Buddha”and”Guanyin” are made of jade, this material fells very cool and smooth, it is said that it will do good to our health. I wear a little Buddha which is given by my mother as a present, I wear it all the day even when I am taking a bath.

I like to wear some flash and pretty things on my hair and wrist, like a butterfly hair pin or a Hello Kitty’s watch, when I am shopping in peacetime, because they make me looked lovely and visible, every girl want to be a princess, me either. I dream to meet a prince one day on the street and we fall in love at first sight, so I must make me look like a princess, I believe the dream I dream will come true.

But in my work, I change to be another role. I am carefully and hard working, I wear nothing on my hair or some simple-styled hair pin, a white or black colored watch, because that make me more serious, give an impression that I am competent to others.

I think I am young in my age, so I can wear what I want to wear, do not care other’s saying, especially in some leisure occasions, as long as I feel good and soft, of course I will not wear something strange or unacceptable. On the other hand, in formal occasions, such as in working places, I will not wear the things that are very shining colored, I can not concentrate on my work if I wear them.

Wearing jewel is a kind of knowledge, it is very important that we should know what to wear in occasions, jewel can make us looked more beautiful if we wear in a right way, otherwise it will make us looked ugly and odd.
